PAHRA is an independent, third-party organization established to certify that HVACR training programs meet or exceed industry standards including faculty qualifications, curriculum, students and facility standards in areas of residential air conditioning and heating, light commercial air conditioning and heating, and commercial refrigeration. “At Johnstone Supply (Grimme Group), we have been working hard to position ourselves as a leading HVACR educational resource for the industry and are proud to announce that we are now an accredited institution”, said Mike Grimme, president. Grimme added, “This means that our training program is of the highest quality and the courses that are taken qualify for continuing education credit. There is no other HVACR supplier in the nation that has made this level of investment in the future.” PAHRA was developed, supported and implemented by all segments of the HVACR industry and only awards accreditation to programs that have met or exceed industry validated standards. In order to qualify, Johnstone Supply (Grimme Group) underwent a rigorous self-evaluation as required in PAHRA’s Articles of Accreditation to compare its strengths and weaknesses to industry standards. A PAHRA survey team then conducted a two-day on-site visit for further evaluation. Once the survey was completed, the PAHRA Accreditation Committee then reviewed the findings and approved accreditation.
